Childe (Tartaglia)

Hydro Bow

Tartaglia, or more commonly referred to as "Childe", is the eleventh of the eleven Fatui Harbinger. He's the first Fatui boss that players face in Genshin Impact, but fortunately, not the first to face demise. Although portrayed as an antagonist, Childe manage to capture the heart of many since behind his battle-crazy head, he appears to have genuine interest in the Traveler.

Gameplay Difficulty

Childe is really tricky to use. Players have to manage how long they're using his Melee stance or else they may get stuck with an insane 45s cooldown. Luckily, when players are close to the end of his stance, there will be a logo flashing on top of his head. Before the game automatically ends Childe's Melee form, players must press the Skill button to return to the Ranged stance.

Since the Harbinger has two stances, his Burst also has two versions. Proper usage of each stance's Burst will really impact Childe's performance.

Role Flexibility

Childe can only work as a DPS. He's a selfish unit like Razor and Cyno, so players have to adjust his team to support him.

Unfortunately, in a time-restricted content like the Spiral Abyss, poor management of Childe's cooldown can cause the challenge to fail. Childe's DMG is also in the mediocre class, unlike Hu Tao and Ganyu which deals massive DMG. Childe does have a great AoE hit, but considering many Spiral Abyss chambers only consist of one enemy, his AoE capability often falls short.
