Layla joins Ganyu and Sayu in the sleepy character association. Her kit is somewhat a combination of the two, where her Skill is protective, while her Burst is offensive. Layla can provide a decent shield and a nice Cryo field. If players are seeking offense and defense at the same time, Layla should definitely be considered.

Without Constellations, there are a lot of shielders that can perform better than Layla in Spiral Abyss. Even within the Cryo Element, Diona can perform much better, where Layla is only viable in Moragana team comps.
