It's no surprise that Yelan is called a 5-star Xingqiu. They share a lot of similarities, especially when it comes to how their Burst works. However, unlike Xingqiu that's both defensive and supportive, Yelan is solely offensive, making her a great character to have if players wish to dish out a large DMG in a short time. Yelan also scales with HP, which makes her easy to build and even stronger in a team with Hydro Resonance activated.

Building Difficulty

Since Yelan solely relies on HP, building her is beyond easy. Players can even use 3-star and 4-star weapons with low Base ATK with no risk.

Role Flexibility

Yelan has no defensive properties like Xingqiu, but she does have an extra DMG boost to the active character, which makes her highly offensive. However, this means Yelan can't be used for any other role that sub-DPS.
