Team Compositions Constellation Guide

Tartaglia is one of the best AoE DMG dealers in Genshin Impact. Although the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers is a Bow user, his mechanics focus on close-range combat and Hydro explosions that occur when he meets multiple conditions.

As an exclusive character in Genshin Impact, Childe’s banner will rerun often, which is great news for players that are planning to stack his Constellations. Unlocking new Tartaglia passives may come in handy to eliminate some of his cons, like his painfully long cooldown on his Elemental Skill.

Childe Constellations In Genshin Impact

Childe Constellations are important for his gameplay in Genshin Impact. Considering how important his Elemental Skill is to his kit, Tartaglia’s C1 and C6 are his most valuable Constellations.

Childe C1 – Foul Legacy: Tide Withholder

Constellation Effect Decreases the CD of Foul Legacy: Raging Tide by 20%.
Priority High
Category Playstyle Improvement

C1 Childe’s effect is so close to be a must-have Constellation in Genshin Impact. However, while the 20% CD reduction is extremely important for Tartaglia, it still can’t completely shift his role into the sole Main DPS of his team compositions. Still, C1 Childe is still a much better version than himself at C0.

Childe C2 – Foul Legacy: Understream

Constellation Effect When opponents affected by Riptide are defeated, Tartaglia regenerates 4 Elemental Energy.
Priority Low
Category New Effect

Applying Reptide on enemies is easy for Tartaglia. So having him regenerate energy while defeating them can be important if players unlocked his C6 since it gives his Elemental Burst an essential utility. Other than that, Tartaglia’s C2 doesn’t add that much to his kit in Genshin Impact.

Childe C3 – Abyssal Mayhem: Vortex of Turmoil

Constellation Effect Increases the Level of Foul Legacy: Raging Tide by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Priority High
Category Playstyle Improvement

Tartaglia inflicts the most amount of DMG through his Foul Legacy, Raging Tide. So having his third Constellation boosts his Elemental Skill by 3 levels insanely increases his DMG further.

Childe C4 – Abyssal Mayhem: Hydrospout

Constellation Effect If Tartaglia is in Foul Legacy: Raging Tide’s Melee Stance, triggers Riptide Slash against opponents on the field affected by Riptide every 4s, otherwise, triggers Riptide Flash. Riptide Slashes and Riptide Flashes triggered by this Constellation effect are not subject to the time intervals that would typically apply to these two Riptide effects, nor do they have any effect on those time intervals.
Priority Must Have
Category New Effect

Childe can already trigger both Reptide Slash and Flash during combat. But, C4 Tartaglia gets a new passive that continuously triggers them without meeting any condition during his Elemental Skill stance. What makes this Constellation perfect for Childe is the fact that it will further improve his AoE DMG and mechanics.

Childe C5 – Havoc: Formless Blade

Constellation Effect Increases the Level of Havoc: Obliteration by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Priority Low
Category Playstyle Improvement

Tartaglia’s C5 adds extra levels to his Elemental Burst, which can be a little helpful to increase his overall DMG.

Childe C6 – Havoc: Annihilation

Constellation Effect When Havoc: Obliteration is cast in Melee Stance, the CD of Foul Legacy: Raging Tide is reset. This effect will only take place once Tartaglia returns to his Ranged Stance.
Priority Must Have
Category New Effect

When C6 Childe uses his Elemental Burst, his Skill’s cooldown will reset, saving players from 40 seconds of torture. Enough said.
